The Thunder Mountain Speedway will be kicking off its 2010 season on Sunday May 16^th with the 2^nd Annual Steve Peck Memorial Race. This race is sponsored by the Peck family in memory of Steve Peck, who passed away in September 2008 from leukemia. This race is a way for the Speedway to honor the Peck family for all their support in our years of racing. Last year during the event drivers passed their helmets in the stands and pits and collected $500 for Relay for Life. Come up to the races and help us show our support to the Peck family and help to raise money for Relay for Life.

This year the Speedway will be running 2 classes of cars, the Wissota Midwest Modifieds and the Sport Stocks. We would like to thank United Oil & Gas for sponsoring our 2010 Midwest Modified payouts. The Speedway would also like to thank Eunice and Jeremy Ketterling for their donation in memory of Lester Ketterling, the money donated will be put into our Sport Stock payouts and also into our hardest hitter prize in our demolition derby.  We also would like to thank our sponsors so far for 2010, United Oil & Gas, Tweed Country Ag, Bottineau Auto Value, Star Transportation and Bottineau Farmers Elevator and Mikkelsen Aggregates.  Also thanks to all our 2010 sign and program ad renewals. It will be another great year of racing at the Speedway, changes to this year will include a bike giveaway every night for the kids, so bring the kids up for a chance to win a bike every night this year also thanks to the Family Bakery for donating the nightly candy toss.  The speedway continues its schedule on Sunday June 6^th with Patriot Day, all members of the military, active or retired will receive half price admission that night.  Thank you to Bottineau Auto Value for sponsoring Patriot Day. On Sunday June 27^th bring the kids up for Kids night. Kids will get rides in the race cars, and there will be bike and door prize giveaways and a candy toss.  Special thanks to Tweed Country Ag for sponsoring Kids Night.  On Sunday July 11^th come up and watch the ladies drive after the races with the Powder Puff race. A special thanks to Star Transportation for sponsoring our July 11^th race. On Sunday July 25^th the Mechanics get their chance to drive in the Mechanics race after the races. Special thanks to Mikkelsen Aggregates for sponsoring our July 25^th race. The Harvest Classic will be on Sunday August 8^th, that night we will be running a 40 lap Midwest Mod feature race. Special thanks to the Bottineau Farmers Elevator for sponsoring the Harvest Classic. And on Sunday August 22^nd it will be an all out battle for points at our season championship, come up and watch your favorite drivers battle for valuable points the final night of the year.
